Pediatrics

The Acute Pediatric Inpatient Unit at Arizona Children’s Center is the heart of our children’s inpatient services. With dedicated, experienced pediatricians, care is delivered to them from the heart. Scientific and evidenced-based care is provided in a caring, compassionate and family-centered healing environment.

The inpatient unit has 32 remodeled rooms with both single and semi-private layouts. Patients are cared for by our in-house hospitalists who serve as faculty in our Pediatric Residency program.

Each room is a comfortable space for our patients and their family. All patients receive a hand-made blanket, decorative pillow case and a sign with their name on it welcoming them to a friendly environment.

To promote patient comfort and decrease anxiety, we develop a Pain and Procedural Pain Management Plan to make our procedures and treatments as painless as possible. We also have a Sedation Service staffed by critical care physicians and experienced nurses for any difficult and painful treatments or diagnostic tests.
